ARIBA II

At the beginning, İTÜGAE tried to create ARIBA II to make a “double” in the “Formula G 2006”. This car is well-known by the İTÜ students, because of touring the campus too often. And by that support, ARIBA attended the races as an adopted brand.

Formula G proves that licence students in universities could achieve a success of creating an  automotive AR-GE with  alternative energy, and İTÜGAE is proud of attending that race with two cars, ARIBA I and ARIBA II, again in 2006. Our aim as İTÜGAE is to improve ourselves, and always create better Works. We are sure that with industrial support, this kind of projects would be even better developed than now. By thinking that this kind of organizations provide better unification of our nation and lead science to produce more advanced projects, the most important aim of İTÜGAE is to have a vehicle which is completely produced in İstanbul Technical University by the studies of students in its design and production. 

İstanbul Technical University Solar Car Team, achieed important successeswith the second solar car, ARIBA II. In 2006, it came third in İzmir, second in İstanbul, in 2007, second in Ankara, and in 2008, again second in İzmir. Since its manufacture, ARIBA II has attended 4 race and in all races it took place in the first third.
